Locomotives we have worked on

"Glenbrook." - Nevada State Railroad Museum

Built, from scratch, the Locomotive Headlamp Burner Assembly, custom fit to remaining components.

 

"Eureka."

Serviced, Cleaned, and Tuned Locomotive headlamp.  Provided Consumables for further operation.

 

"Deanna."

Major Repair to damaged carrier mechanism, and general service on both the headlamp and tender lamp.  Tuned to burner properly.

 

D&RG #168 - Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad

Provided Custom Electrified Cab Lamps, 1 Restored Gauge Lamp, and 2 Custom Fabricated Brass Water Sight Glass Lamps.

 

"Leviathan" renamed "Penna R.R. #331" - Star Barn Enterprises

Build from Scratch a Full Set of Cab Lamps for the Locomotive.  2 Water Glass Lamps, A Brake  Gauge Lamp, and a Steam Gauge Bucket Reflector Lamp.  All Oil Operational.

Serviced, Cleaned, Tuned, and identified modern consumables for continued and constant use of oil headlamp.

Maybe the most used Oil Headlamp in Steam Preservation.

 

Hecla & Torch Lake R.R. 0-6-4T No. 3 "Torch Lake" - Henry Ford Museum

Restored Body of Headlamp from Henry Ford Collection. Insert comprised of Wood Base, Reflector, and Steel Oil Tank was provided.  Wood was washed, conditioned, and stabilized using brass rods and glue to reinforce water-rot hardwood.   Reflector was Polished and Re-Nickel Plated. Steel Tank was initially considered for use, but was fount to rotten, a Solid Brass Tank was produced to replace it.  Oil Burner was entirely missing, and one was fabricated from vintage parts, and custom designed parts, to create a whole and quality functioning assembly.

Provided, Restored, and Electrified (non-damagingly) a Black Dressel Water Gauge Lamp, as well as Restored and Electrified (non-damagingly) a Matching Dressel Brake Gauge Lamp from their collection.

Consulted and provided custom embossed brass badge for Locomotive Headlamp Restoration.

Colorado & Southern #70 - Historic Rail Adventures (Georgetown Loop)

Restoration of 3 Factory-Original Coach Lamps for Colorado & Southern Car #70.  Matched Mismatched components so lamps look congruent.  Lamps were Fully Polished to mirror finish and lacquered.  Smoke Jacks electrified with 2700K LED Flood Lamps, lamps are not damaged at all, and in fact are fully ready to be filled with oil and ran if desired.

Replicated (2) Hicks & Smith Coach Chandeliers from 1 Photo, 1 Catalog Page, and a few misc. surviving parts.
