Adams & Westlake Fleur De Lis Railroad Grand Chandelier

$78,000.00

One of the Absolute Most Lavish Chandeliers Available to those who own Private Railcars around the Turn-of-the-Century. You have your choice of the 2 Arm fixture for a normal setting, or the 4 Arm fixture used in the larger Living Room of the Railcar.

In a Railcar, the Smoke Bell Collects rising exhaust, and vents it out of the car. In other settings, this fixture could come with a not vented smoke bell to prevent Scorching the Ceiling.

Oil Burning is the Default Option, but you don’t have to use it. Electric Options are mounted in Smoke Bell, Shine Down onto Burner, and radiate light from there. Smooth Running 2700 Kelvin LED Flood Lamps are used.

Description

Luxmen Lighting presents The Grand Fleur De Lis 2 arm and 4 arm, Railroad Chandelier.

This Fixture was only used in Private Railcars, One specific instance was for the President for the Great Northern Railway, James J. Hill, and is the reason we replicated this chandelier.  Mr. Hill’s 1899 Private coach is being restored, and the original fixtures, of which we identified, were presumably removed in the 1930s, necessitating the replication of the original chandeliers.  Very few pieces of these lamps have turned up over the years, and surely not enough has turned up to outfit an entire railcar.

I have meticulously replicated parts from an original pieces, creating identical and fully functional oil lamps. Our museum setup utilizes warm L.E.D. Spot Lamps in the smoke bells for a flame-like effect that is very convincing.

The 2 arm lamp consist of about 29 Metal Castings, using the lost 3D printed wax method, 12 metal spinning, many milled parts, and 6 glass elements – faithfully replicating the intricate 19th-century Victorian Masterpiece.

Our U.S.-made lamps are assembled in San Diego County, offering standard two-arm or prestigious four-arm chandeliers in polished two-tone brass/bronze, Brass Plated/Polished, or Nickel Plated. Optional Smoke Jacks available. Custom orders welcome.

This Model Lamp was offered by only the largest Railcar Hardware Maker, Adams & Westlake.  The vertical Column Design of the fount holder was not achievable naturally with casting methods at the time.  A&W was showing off their capabilities by designing a cast holder that first had to be cast in the flat, then formed hot into the circular fount holder. It was then machined for the parts that get soldered to it, and the seam is brazed solid with silver brazing rod.  This process was not replicated by competitors to my best knowledge.

Please Call in to Order this Product, There are many aspects of this work that need to be discussed before purchase.  Such a Lamp takes more than a year to produce, and is completely custom is manufacture.

This product is made to order in our Southern California Facility, and is THE most intensive product we offer. The required build time is currently over 2 years for most Railroad Chandelier Lamps. Please consult with us at 1-619-760-7834 to talk about your requirements for this fixture.
